Our school provides an individualised educational program for students with a mild to severe intellectual disability and we believe that every student can and will learn in an environment of care, dignity and respect.
When our students and their families begin their school life at Officer Specialist School they are welcomed by a supportive team who are ready to develop a partnership between home and school and make the transition to school a positive and happy experience for all.
In the Secondary Department we aim to challenge and motivate students, encouraging a positive work ethic.
As the students move through the secondary school, they continue to develop knowledge, life skills and interpersonal skills to help prepare themselves for life after school in the workforce, leisure activities and participation in the broader community.
